這道料理的傳統作法，是以油炸逼出四季豆的水份，使四季豆吃起來酥軟、乾香，若不油炸則需以小火慢慢煸炒至水分收乾為止，耗時又浪費瓦斯；這回試用「飛利浦氣炸鍋」，剛好可利用它來取代傳統的油炸作法，本以為烘炸過的四季豆會又乾又焦，沒想到前後花不到15分鐘，這盤只用了50g絞肉油脂和不到10cc葡萄籽油的《乾煸四季豆》，竟也能達到鹹香酥軟的口感。
