"Cover Story” is the new album by Dutch powerhouse vocalist Glennis Grace. The former Eurovision participant (for the Netherlands, she took part in the 2005 Eurovision Song Contest with the ballad “My Impossible Dream”) has since become a major star in both the Netherlands and Belgium, and was voted four time in a row “Best Female Singer Of The Netherlands.”
Doing covers can be a tricky business. You either should have an original take on them or the power-vocals to do these classics justice. Glennis certainly has the pipes for that, and on this album with covers of beautiful, well-known songs, she mostly manages to transform these hits into her own version, although this works for some songs better than for others.
