◎簡　　介

　　主角是一對可愛的小醜魚(Clownfish)父子。父親瑪林和兒子尼莫一直在澳洲外海大堡礁中過著安定而"幸福"的平靜生活。魚爸爸瑪林一直謹小慎微，行事縮手縮腳，雖然已經身為人父，卻絲毫不會影響它成為遠近聞名的膽小鬼。也正因為這一點，兒子尼莫常常與瑪林發生爭執，甚至有那麼一點瞧不起自己的父親。直到有一天，一直向往到海洋中冒險的尼莫，遊出瞭他們所居住的珊瑚礁。正當尼莫想要舒展一下小尾巴的時候，一艘漁船毫不留情地將歡天喜地的尼莫捕走，並將它輾轉賣到澳洲悉尼灣內的一家牙醫診所。

　　在大堡礁的海底，心愛的兒子突然生死未卜的消息，對於魚爸爸瑪林來說卻無異於晴天霹靂。盡管膽小盡管怕事，現在為瞭救回心愛的孩子，瑪林也就隻有豁出去瞭。它決心跟上澳洲洋流，踏上尋找自己兒子的漫漫征程。

　　雖說是已下定決心，但這並不代表瑪林可以在一夜之間拋棄自己怯懦的性格。途中與大白鯊佈魯斯的幾次驚險追逐，很快便令它萌生退意，險些使父子重聚的希望化為泡影。但幸運的是，瑪林遇到瞭來自撒馬力亞(Samaritan)的藍唐王魚(Regal Blue Tang)多瑞(Dory)。多瑞是一隻熱心助人、胸懷寬廣的大魚。雖然嚴重的健忘癥常常搞得瑪林哭笑不得，但是有多瑞在身邊做伴，卻也漸漸令瑪林明白瞭如何用勇氣與愛戰勝自己內心的恐懼，也懂得瞭一生中有一些事情的確是值得自己去冒險去努力的道理。

　　就這樣，兩條魚在遼闊的太平洋上的冒險使它們交到瞭形形色色的朋友，也遭遇瞭各式各樣的危機。而魚爸爸瑪林也終於克服萬難，與兒子團聚並安全地回到瞭自己的家鄉。過去那個甚至連自己兒子都瞧不起的膽小鬼瑪林，經過這次的考驗後成為瞭兒子眼中真正的英雄！一場親情團聚的大戲，就此在充滿淚水的眼睛中落下瞭帷幕。
