A new mystery has struck down on EDM land. Invading it with high class house music, a relentless energy and a passion that veils under the 2 Faced Funks moniker. Two Dutch talents united in 2008 and came up with the brilliant idea to rock the house scene with masks on, keeping their identity a secret and getting the crowd warmed up for music, and nothing but the music.

Gathering over 10 years of DJ experience, the young Dutch talents have rocked crowds in China, Aruba and Colombia to as far as Russia, Poland, Abu Dhabi, Germany, Japan, Sweden and beyond. What initially started as a joke, dj’ing with cheap pink masks on, has turned into an ever-­‐growing, global phenomenon. 2 Faced
Funks:”We had been dj’ing as a duo for quite a while, when we decided to throw a special birthday party for one of us. We bought some cheap, pink masks and advertised with the fact that we managed to book 2 world-­‐famous DJ’s. That night sold out completely, with 1500 people dancing to our set. That was the moment we decided to take the 2 Faced Funks project to the next level. And it works!”

The faceless duo, busy crossing borders and creating new sounds, had the world-­‐famous special effects make-­‐up artist Rogier Samuels work on a new set of masks, gentlemen-­‐typed. Packed with a new mask and image, and musical weapons like ‘Life Is A Casino’ and ‘Arabia’, 2012 is shaping up to be their year. Signed to one of EDM’s biggest labels, the award-­winning Armada Music, their musical adventure has only just begun.

Currently working on their highly anticipated debut album, it’s only
a matter of time until the entirety of dance land speaks of the 2 Faced Funks mystery. Until then, you can ease the wait by catching one of their global sets, and wonder about the two young talents, united under the mask.
